Oliver hosts Social Mobility Student

Oliver Letwin recently hosted 17 year old student, Elizabeth Oladunni, for a week in Westminster as part of the Social Mobility Foundation’s Aspiring Professionals Programme.

Elizabeth, who attends Lady Margaret School in Parson’s Green and who hopes to go on to read History at a top university, spent the week working in Parliament gaining a valuable insight into Westminster politics.

During her placement Elizabeth assisted in the running of Oliver’s Parliamentary office as well as attending debates and select committees and becoming familiar with how Parliament operates. She also met Oliver in Downing Street where she took full advantage of the opportunity to quiz the Minister with a series of insightful questions.

The Aspiring Professionals Programme is the Social Mobility Foundation’s core programme, is completely free of charge and is open to motivated, ambitious students from less privileged backgrounds in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Nottingham.
