What can Oliver do for you?

Oliver’s role as a Member of Parliament is to represent all his constituents, regardless of whether they voted for him. If you are a constituent of West Dorset, Oliver can help you in a number of ways from making representations on your behalf, writing to relevant Government Ministers or raising matters publicly.

MPs do not have any jurisdiction over local Council decisions, but Oliver is happy to assist in raising local matters with local councils.

Please note that Members of Parliament are not permitted to intervene in any matters of a legal nature and cannot offer legal advice.

Oliver holds regular advice surgeries for his constituents to come by appointment and talk to him about issues and problems. Also, Oliver often attends meetings and community events, as well as visiting local organisations and businesses.
